1971 Watret & Co Ltd is founded in Potters Bar Hertfordshire by Mr. K R Watret. Operations start out of a small back street office.

1981 Watret & Co Ltd moves to occupy new premises in Park Street St.Albans. The listed 1600-century building becomes the HQ for operations.

1980’s There is a major shift in client base with significant growth of work with Local Authorities. A business division for small commercial projects is also established.

1998 An investment is made into new IT equipment. This includes the introduction of a database software called Datadelve.




2005 Watret & Co Ltd purchase new factory unit on the basis of potential premises & development plans are passed.

2006 Personnel level rises above 50

2007 New database is installed with option for electronic transferring of data.

2007 Watret & Co Ltd work with Paper Planet to design procedures for the recycling of all WCL office waste.

2007/8 Handheld PDA technology is introduced. This assists a paper less working practice. The database is made accessible to clients via the Company's website.
